About Us
HISTORY
Milton Community Nursery School has been a part of the Milton Community since 1964. We are a non-profit, co-operative
preschool for children 2 to 5 years old. We have an established reputation in children's programming.
Over 1700 children have attended MCNS and we believe this reflects our commitment to fostering the parent/teacher partnership
to provide your child with the best possible preschool experience.
PHILOSOPHY
We offer your child a chance to grow in a 2 year, age appropriate program. Children benefit from the familiarity of surroundings
and the continuity of teachers. We recognize that every child is different, so we offer a variety of options. Your child can attend 2, 3, or 5 mornings per week. Our JK/SK Enrichment program is offered for children 4 years of age or older, 2 afternoons
each week.
Our program features:
*ECE Teachers
*weekly themes, crafts, field trips, gym
*parent participating and non-participating spots
*low teacher: student ratio
*several class options
THE CO-OP COMMITMENT
A Co-operative is a school for children and their families. The foundation of the co-operative school is the partnership between parents and teachers. Parents are essential in the school's operation. This involves active committee work or being a member of the executive board. Parents also have the option of participating in the classroom.
Participating Parents: The parent participates on a rotating basis in the child's classroom
Non-Participating Parents: The parent is not required to participate but is welcome into the classroom to enjoy time with their child.
